Hillsborough County Dog Parks
Carolyn Meeker Dog Park, on Highway 41 near Lutz Lake Fern Road, offers your choice of areas to run with your dog in an open play arena. The gated park separates animals with both small and large dog areas, and a water tap is available for pets. Although food is not permitted, there are benches around the play area. Cooldown stations are provided for some well-needed relief from the Florida sun.
If you live near the downtown Tampa, Gadsden Dog Park is located at 6901, South MadDill Avenue, right next to MacDill Air Force Base. The newly-renovated park offers you and your pets a quiet place to relax. Picnic areas are available for relaxing out of the sun, and paved trails offer Tampa residents an opportunity to exercise near the water in safety and comfort. The park is clean and well-maintained, and there's always a furry companion around for your pet to frolic with off the leash in the gated pet area. Dog park areas are divided into three sections based on the size of your pooch.
