How to Find Out and Schedule GMAT Test Dates
The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) creates the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) for entry into MBA schools. Prospective students should learn how to find out available GMAT test dates and select a convenient testing date.
Unlike many standardized testing programs, there is no master GMAT calendar or set of test dates. Rather, the GMAT is administered in hundreds of places throughout the US and some foreign countries on a rolling basis.
Each student needs to find a convenient GMAT test location and date. To find locations near you that administer the Graduate Management Admission Test, you can use the GMAC's testing center search tool. Click on the link in the Resources section at the bottom of this article to access that search feature.
Once you access the search page, select "20" to find the 20 closest GMAT testing centers and enter your country and other geographic data. When you click the "'Search" button, you will see a list of testing centers. Click on the question-mark symbol next to each testing location's name to get more information.
The information provided is not going to tell you the GMAT test dates available at that testing center. But it does provide a physical address, a phone number, and some related information.
Select some testing centers that are most convenient to you and call them. Tell them that you are looking to take the GMAT and discuss the upcoming test dates for that center. Once you have the most convenient GMAT testing center and date for your personal situation, you can then schedule a test date for your exam. Be aware that the local testing center sets its own schedule. Unless they have ample test takers, you may have to wait a while. Schedule several months before you anticipate applying to MBA school.
Follow the testing center's instructions to schedule or go to the "Scheduling Information" page on the GMAC website. Schedule your testing center and GMAT exam date following the instructions on that page. For convenience, the phone numbers are provided below.
