Workout: a Love Affair with Fitness

Tired of that old workout routine? Here are ways to spark a new love affair with fitness!

Music is a motivator. When is the last time you listened to the Stevie Wonder song "You Haven't Done Anything", the Destiny's Child song "Lose My Breath", the Will Smith song "Getting Jiggy Wit It", the Jamie Foxx song "Winner", the Heatwave song "The Groove Line", or a song you love that you haven't heard in like forever? Get your mind in the mood to avoid a one night fitness stand. If you listen to an atrocious selection your mind will shutdown followed by tempting visions of hot dripping pizza.

Yawn alert! Focus on keeping things interesting. The scenery is important. Starting a fitness love affair in front of the refrigerator will weigh that relationship down. So now that you have the sexy legs taken care of, it is time for those abs and arms!

You don't want to end up with a twelve pack - make it a six pack instead. Abs that define themselves can be sweeter than strawberries dipped in chocolate. The trick is to work them "accordion-ly". An accordion moves in and out, out and in as a part of the function while your finger work assists in making sound. When laying down on the floor (while watching a fab television show or movie) lift the legs high in the air and slowly lower the knees closer towards the chest range. Arms should be at the sides on the floor. Lift the legs again. Bring them down close to the chest. Up. Down. Up. Down. Up. You will begin to feel the sensation of your ab workout but don't overdue it. If your legs cramp and lock straight up for at least four hours then contact your physician. Last thing you need to do is to go for gold when all you want to do is enjoy yourself while working on that bod.

Arms are the easiest of all. Don't get vengeful or angry but don't you just want to punch out your old flame? There was no reason why they needed to dump you and you never had closure. Punch them when they aren't even in the room. Boxing is an excellent way to work out the arm region. Jabs, uppercuts, straight and sucker punches are perfect. Box until you feel you have knocked out that flame. Don't box in front of others or they will think you're psycho. Why? Because anyone without boxing experience swinging away just looks crazy. But imagine the perks - great rounded shoulders and a cute little muscle emerging here and there. In no time your muscle may grow big enough to charge it rent.
