Candi
My female German Shepherd has a strange habit. Everyone thinks it's funny. But it doesn't keep them from being scared of her
Candi is a good guard dog. No one can get close to the house without her barking at them. She also is good at protecting my chickens. In the four years I've had chickens, I've never lost one to a coyote. Where as my neighbor looses one almost every week.
Everyone is scared of her. She is big for a Mexican German Shepherd and brave. I've never had a problem with thieves and I leave the farm alone a lot. That is due partly to her.
My dog has a strange habit, she chases rocks. It doesn't matter what size the rock or how fast or slow you through it. Oh, if you don't have a rock, dirt clods also work.
But she doesn't just chase them she also catches them. You through one to her in the air and she jumps to catch it. You have to be careful though, she'll catch anything, even if it will knock out a tooth.
One day I was babysitting a little boy, he is almost three. He was having a snack of popcorn. Candi came in and wanted join him. The little boy threw some to her. Candi at it all and waited for more. This time the little boy threw it in the air. Candi snapped at it and caught it. Laughing, thinking it wag read fun, he threw some more for her to catch. This continued until Candi got full.
Candi's tongue is the longest dogs tongue I've ever seen. It is at least eight inches long. Sometimes while she sleeps the tip of her tongue hangs out. We joke that she has to curl her tongue up for it to fit in her mouth!
I love my dog. I wouldn't trade her for any other in the world. Well maybe one that listened more!!!
