The chair had handles that your child can hold on when they are sitting on the toilet. When your child sits on the toilet the character Elmo who my son adores says a few encouraging words to get him to pee or poop. The chair has a volume control, which you can turn up or down for sound. When your child does finally do his thing then a song is played about going to the bathroom. This is supposed to further encourage your child in the future to go to the bathroom. The Sesame Street potty chair comes in English and Spanish. It is considered appropriate for children between the ages of 18 months and 4 years of age.
The Kolcraft Sesame Street Potty Chair is easy to clean. It comes with a deep bowl that is made out of plastic. The bowl can be easily removed for cleaning. I just clean it every time with soap and water.
